When the Going Gets Tough, Pioneer an Industry
Mike Ezekiel has been leading Manhattan’s corporate catering industry for 20 years when Covid hit and changed the face of the restaurant world. So he decided it was time for massive change; shifting his career path to contracting work. He’d follow his family legacy, with the knowledge he’d acquired from installing hardwood floors with his father as a teen – and the invaluable skillset he acquired in New York’s ultra-demanding catering field: an ingrained dedication to precision, perfection, and incredible customer service.
His other massive advantage? Jennifer. An Emory grad with a business degree, and a background in design and luxury aesthetics, who also happened to be his wife and the mother of their three children. After leaving to New York behind, they started over completely and launched Enviroturf together, having no idea how quickly the business would take off.
The calls came in seemingly overnight, and as their reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and reliability grew – so too did their aspirations. Seeing a gap in the market, with no one providing completely turnkey landscaping service, they shifted their focus to partnering with top-tier custom builders who were desperate for greater efficiency, with one team handling every outdoor need. And the rest is history.
Today, the pair are trusted industry leaders, providing exquisitely crafted oases as the perfect finishing touch on $20M+ homes and luxury resorts across Florida. Mike continues to run the daily operations of Enviroturf, with Jennifer leading the charge as CCO, as they change the face of the landscaping industry, and most importantly, watch their three beautiful children grow. Because in the end, it’s really all for them.
Giving Back
Being an active and contributing member of our beloved Boca community is a core part of who we are. We are proud to provide essential south Florida institutions with donated materials and service that better the lives of everyone who lives here.
Most recently, we provided a local elementary school with an upgrade to the safety of their playground by repairing its grade, running underground drainage and installing a very plush fall absorbent synthetic turf with child safe infill.
